Margareth Wright's Bear
I am a member of the Doll Collectors Club of NSW. I got this bear from another member called Margareth Wright. The bear has been in the family for a long time. This is a "Lindee" Teddy Bear from 1940-1950's by the Lindenbergh Family. The teddy bear's factory was in Parramatta and the trade mark was Lindee Toys. It has got rexine paw pads, English quality mohair, woodwool stuffing, the glass eyes possibly had been replaced.
The growler was not in operant and the Doll's doctor of the Doll Collector's Club Barbara Hancock replaceed a new growler for him. The old growler has got "Cat's Cry" written on it (it was made in Japan). Barbara said that the the growler might have been replaced a long time ago. This is a lovely quality bear eventhough it is not tagged. I dressed him with a vest adorned with tiny tools and he is now proudly standing on his blue leather boots made in Spain.
